Video leak: Serwaa Amihere didn’t act inappropriately, according to the EIB
The owners of GHOne Television, the management of EIB Network, have made it clear that Serwaa Amihere, the show’s presenter, did nothing improper in connection with a recently viral video that purportedly showed her with Henry Fitz.
Following the video’s recent social media surge, rumours circulated that Fitz and his wife were not married when the video was shot in 2019.
At the time, EIB Network had declared that it would look into the circumstances surrounding the publication of the film in private and would publish the results.
EIB Network also declared that it was aware of criminal cases brought by the Ghana Police Service against people who were said to have released the video.

Following a comprehensive and unbiased inquiry, the committee concluded that Serwaa Amihere had engaged in no wrongdoing or violations in relation to the distribution of the aforementioned film.
“We remain committed to cooperating with authorities to ensure justice is served,” the statement continued.
After that, Serwaa Amihere expressed regret for the occurrence.
Three people were charged by the Ghana Police Service in April for allegedly leaking broadcast journalist Serwaa Amihere’s private video.
On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in the evening, Serwaa apologised for the shame the incident had caused her family, employers, loved ones, and the companies and brands she represents. The statement was uploaded on her X account.
In addition to stating that “I considerably underestimated the extent of my influence, my potential, what I would become, and what I would come to represent to this society at the time,” Serwaa verified that the video was shot five years ago.
The footage was finally released, in her words, “after five months of threats and extortion, along with efforts by the police to bring the extortionists to book.”
However, Serwaa claimed that the sad incident had taught her some valuable lessons.
