The kissing priest: Unhappy Van Vicker lashes out at authorities of St. Monica’s College of Education
The viral video of an Anglican Church Reverend Father kissing female students during church service is ‘repulsive,’ according to Van Vicker.
In the video, the Reverend Father purposely removed his nose mask before kissing the female students who took turns to receive whatever blessing the preacher may have promised them.
Congregation members, made up of both elderly and young people, are seen gleefully jumping and screaming to cheer up the man of God’s kissing spree.
Reacting to the video, Van Vicker, who is obviously disgusted by the act, took to his Instagram page to slam the Reverend Father, describing the act as ‘repulsive.’
“I cannot comprehend this; an Anglican Rev. Father kissing students in front of a congregation. I wonder what THE MESSAGE was to warrant the KISS,” he captioned the video.
He pointed out that the third student who received a kiss in the video was ‘distressing’ but had no option other than to receive the kiss.
“The third STUDENT was distressing but he forcefully proceeded. REPULSIVE IN MY OPINION,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Anglican Church, Ghana has issued a statement condemning the act and promised to investigate the matter thoroughly.
In the statement, the hierarchy of the church said it has set up a committee made up of representatives of relevant stakeholders to investigate the matter and make recommendations.
