Owusu Bempah’s case adjourned to October 5
An Accra Circuit Court has adjourned the case involving Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International Apostle Isaac Owusu Bempah, to October 5.
The case was adjourned to allow prosecution file substitute charge sheets.
Apostle Owusu Bempah re-appeared before the Court today, September 20, 2021.
The Court, presided over by Her Honour Afia Owusuaa Appiah, earlier denied him, and three others, bail and remanded them into police custody on Monday, September 13.
But their lawyers proceeded to the High Court on Wednesday, September 15 and secured the bail at GH¢200,000 with two sureties.
Apostle Owusu Bempah, in particular, was granted the bail on health grounds as he had been rushed to the Police Hospital on the night he was remanded into police custody.
He is facing charges of offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace, the threat of death, and assault of office public officers.
This follows his storming of the house of one Evangelist Patricia Asiedu, popularly known formerly as Nana Agradaa.
Videos of the incident went viral as he dared the police to arrest him.
And he was arrested on Sunday, September 12.
