Live updates: Shatta Wale, Medikal each granted ¢100k bail

Two of Ghana’s top musicians will be fighting their respective legal battles today.

Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale is facing a charge of publishing false news after he allegedly fabricated a story about a gun attack against him.

Medikal, on the other hand, is in court for brandishing a pistol on social media.

Both of them have pleaded not guilty to said charges.

Medikal, born Samuel Adu Frimpong, was charged with unlawful display of arms and ammunition to which he pleaded not guilty.

Both cases have been adjourned to Thursday, November 9, 2021.

The three other accomplices in Shatta Wale’s case; Deportee, Gangee, and Nana Dope have also been granted bail.
