Claims that the Nkoranza Traditional Council has cursed the NDC and Mahama are refuted.

Reports of cursing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, for supposed disrespect have been refuted by the Nkoranza Traditional Council.

Invoking cures on Mr. Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidate Joseph Mensah for disrespecting them, the chief of Doromakese in Nkoranza North of the Bono East region along with his elders did.

After pledging to pay a courtesy call when he started his trip on Monday, September 2, Obrempong Danso Abeam and his elders were forced to wait for seven hours.

Regretfully, the former President paid a visit to Doromakese, but for unclear reasons, he did not visit the palace; this has caused the traditional authorities to become enraged.

The chiefs expressing their anger banned NDC campaign activities in Doromakese and invoked the gods to deal with anyone who would vote for Mahama and Mensah.

However, the Nkoranza Traditional Council in a statement said the action do not reflect its values and practices.

Pledging commitment to fostering dialogue and collaboration with all political parties, the Council has urged the public to disregard the false claims and encouraged responsible reportage.
