Assaulting a pupil resulted in the dismissal of Nkwatia Presby SHS Assistant Headmaster from his position.

The alleged assault on a student by the Assistant Headmaster (Academics) of Nkwatia Presby Senior High School (SHS) has drawn harsh criticism from the Ghana Education Service (GES).
Social media users have shared numerous images and videos of the student’s severely injured face, which has caused a great deal of outrage.

The GES has issued a statement condemning the Assistant Headmaster’s behaviour and expressing its serious concern. By releasing the Assistant Headmaster from his obligations, the GES has taken decisive action. The pupil is receiving the appropriate medical care and counselling at the same time.

The Eastern Regional Director of Education is working with the school administration and the appropriate law enforcement agency to launch a comprehensive inquiry into the occurrence, according to the GES.

Assuring the public of its commitment to fostering a secure and conducive learning environment for students nationwide, the GES has expressed its dedication to upholding these standards.

The incident has ignited widespread outrage on social media, prompting calls for the Assistant Headmaster’s arrest and legal consequences.
