
VIP bus and sprinter crash in Adansi Dompoase, killing six people

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reported that six people have died in a traffic accident that occurred at Adansi Dompoase, close to the new Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) building.
The Ashanti Region Public Relations Office said in a statement that the GNFS quickly sent a rescue team to the location after receiving a distress call at 12:43 p.m.
Under the direction of ADOII Samuel Mensah, the rescue team discovered that a Benz Sprinter (register GS 6383-20) and a VIP bus (registration GW 8455-23) were both involved in the crash.
The GNFS reported that the front of the VIP bus was partially damaged and the back of the Sprinter was entirely crushed.
According to the statement, six dead victims were turned over to the police after rescue efforts were finished at 1:28 pm.
For immediate medical attention, one injured party was sent to the Fomena Government Hospital.
According to the GNFS, the accident’s cause is still being looked into.
