U-20 AFCON: Schedule for the quarterfinals and how to watch

As the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations moves into its last knockout stage, the competition for continental honours and a spot in the FIFA U-20 World Cup is intensifying.
On May 9, 2025, the group stage came to an end, as South Africa and Egypt secured the final two quarterfinal positions.
South Africa secured a vital 1-1 draw against Zambia, which was sufficient to advance the Amajita on goal differential, while Egypt, the host country, defeated Tanzania 1-0 in a fiercely contested match to secure their advancement.
They round up an elite eight that also includes Nigeria, Tunisia, Morocco, tournament newcomers Sierra Leone, four-time champion Ghana, and reigning champions Senegal.
The stakes are much greater than just competing for the African title; qualifying for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile later this year is guaranteed if they make it to the semi-finals.
On May 12, 2025, all quarterfinal games will take place, with locations divided between Cairo and Suez.
