Today, more than 500,000 students begin BECE in Ghana.

Today, at 2,123 approved locations around the nation, 569,095 candidates will take the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) of this year.

The last day of the tests is Monday, July 15, 2024.

On Sunday, July 7, the Ghana Education Service (GES) administration praised the candidates for their persistence and hard work in a statement released by Casandra Twum Ampofo.

Additionally, GES thanked parents, guardians, educators, basic school heads, teachers, and other stakeholders for their vital responsibilities in getting the candidates ready for the test.

It is recommended that candidates, examiners, supervisors, educators, parents, and school administrators abstain from engaging in any kind of exam malpractice. In order to guarantee the seamless administration of the exams at every centre throughout, GES, WAEC, and the security services are cooperating.

It also informed parents, candidates, and the general public that the school selection process will commence after the BECE, with details to be communicated in due course.
