COP George Alex Mensah, the Director General of Operations for the Ghana Police Service, has testified before the Ad-Hoc Committee.

The committee was established by Parliament to look into a rumoured attempt to remove George Akuffo-Dampare as Inspector General of Police.

This comes in response to Daniel Bugri Naabu, the NPP’s Northern Regional Chairman, who asserted that COP George Alex Mensah is the top police officer audible on the audio leak.
Bugri Naabu mentioned Supt George Asare, COP Mensah, and Supt Emmanuel Gyebi as the persons that spoke with him about the IGP when justifying his tape of the conversation.

These cops are also at the investigation.
