Police detain a suspect in the murder of Ahmed Suale, an investigative journalist.

In an effort to learn more about the death of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, the Ghana Police Service has detained a person with a connection to the investigation.
The defendant, a close friend of the deceased, is charged with selling him out by giving his photos to a well-known Ghanaian politician before to his ruthless murder.

On January 16, 2019, Ahmed Hussei-Suale was murdered by unidentified attackers close to his Madina family home. This came after he worked on an investigative piece with the BBC.
Prior to the suspect’s termination from Tiger Eye Private Investigations, the two had collaborated there.

Upon learning of his involvement in the case, Daniel Owusu Koranteng, also known as Akwasi Amakye, instantly disguised himself and fled the country’s shores.
It chronicles how the FBI in the United States obtained crucial information, such as phone conversations between the deceased and the suspect in the days prior to his passing.

As part of police investigations, the late Ahmed Suale’s phones were sent to the United States.

The suspect used to visit the dead, a close friend, at his home in Madina-base, according to a source close to the police Criminal Investigations Department who spoke to Myjoyonline.com.

The insider said that while authorities were after him, Amakye, as he is affectionately known, moved to the UK.

He was arrested at a hair-plaiting saloon in Amasaman-Adease after allegedly sneaking into Ghana last week.

Some people are upset about the suspect’s arrest because a senior police officer is trying to sabotage the investigations by arguing that the suspect should be released on police inquiry bail rather than appear in court.

Police headquarters is reportedly experiencing an unnerving stillness as a result of the situation.

After he and his Tiger Eye PI team revealed systemic corruption in African football, with a special emphasis on Ghanaian football, Ahmed Suale was assassinated.
