Man City returned to the top four after defeating Chelsea.

Erling Haaland scored the game-winning goal as Manchester City triumphed and moved back into the top four of the Premier League after Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez made a serious error.
As Haaland struggled with Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah to get to Ederson’s long kick forward, Sanchez was caught horribly out of position as he came out and attempted to scamper back.
Haaland chipped Sanchez for his 18th league goal of the season and his sixth in his previous six games across all competitions after he purposefully transferred the ball to his left foot to win the physical duel.
Three minutes from the end, Phil Foden scored his fifth goal in four games after running on to Haaland’s lay-off to seal the victory.
In addition to giving Ederson the distinction of becoming the first custodian to record two assists in a single season in sixteen years, the victory extended City’s unbeaten league run to six. More significantly, it saved the blushes of Abdukodir Khusanov, a £33.6 million debutant who was responsible for Chelsea’s opening goal in the third minute after heading the ball into Nicolas Jackson’s path deep into the City half. Jackson delivered Noni Madueke a tap-in with a square pass.
Foden hit a goal, and City’s other new recruit After Sanchez had denied Matheus Nunes, Josko Gvardiol was the first to react and score the rebound, equalising after Omar Marmoush’s goal was disallowed.
Chelsea had a strong start and missed a great opportunity to expand their advantage when Cole Palmer squared a pass too far in front of Jackson, who would have had an open goal to aim at. As a result, Chelsea lost their last 11 games against City.
Enzo Maresca’s team did not really threaten to push their way back into the match after Haaland’s goal, even though he rotated his excellent lineup of international attacking players.
