Mahama has chosen his ministers carefully. Kubi Appiah
Andy Appiah-Kubi, the former MP for Asante Akim North, has expressed his happiness with President John Mahama’s selection of ministers for important posts such as the Energy Ministry, the Attorney General’s Office, and the Finance Ministry.
Mr. Appiah-Kubi asserts that President Mahama has chosen his ministers with considerable consideration and thoroughness.
He said that every leader should prioritise merit in their choices, and he praised the President for doing so in an interview with JoyNews’ Upfront on Thursday, January 9.
“I’m thrilled that the president has chosen his ministers with great care thus far. And I want to thank him for putting knowledge, skill, and integrity first,” he said.
His comments come after President Mahama nominated Dominic Akuritinga Ayine as Attorney General and Minister of Justice-designate, John Abdulai Jinapor as Energy Minister-designate, and Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Finance Minister-designate.
In the previous NDC administration, each of the nominees held the position of deputy in the same portfolio.
“I have no doubt that the nominees are the right choices for their respective ministries,” Mr. Appiah-Kubi said, describing them as highly qualified persons.
