More people detained Demonstrators from Democracy Hub appear in court.

Today, a new batch of detained Democracy Hub demonstrators appeared in court in Accra.
Before their planned hearing, the eleven young people arrived in a bus and were heavily guarded.
The convenor of #FixTheCountry was noticeably missing from the group; authorities claim that he and another prisoner are receiving medical attention at the hospital.

Today is the second day that demonstrators detained during the #OccupyJulorbiHouse movement are being arraigned.
Throughout the trial, the court adjourned for a brief thirty minutes. This is to provide the State prosecutor with an opportunity to formally serve the accused’s attorneys.

This came after Felicity Nelson, who was detained on Sunday, was informed by the defence team that she was not even named as an accused party in court.

All eleven of the accused entered not guilty pleas to charges of conspiracy to commit crimes when the hearing was restarted.

In relation to the rally organised by the pressure organisation Democracy Hub, the Accra court on Tuesday remanded around 39 demonstrators into detention.
The group from yesterday, which numbered roughly 39, was likewise driven by several buses while being guarded.
During the course of the three-day demonstration at the 37 Roundabout, where the demonstrators were raising awareness of issues like economic mismanagement and illicit small-scale mining, or galamsey, they were arrested.

On Sunday, September 22, during the protest’s second day, a significant altercation broke out between the Democracy Hub demonstrators and the Ghana Police Service.
